Welcome to March: A Celebration of Women and Empowerment
March is here, and with it comes International Women’s Day (IWD)—a time to honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of women across the globe. For me, IWD represents so much more than just one day. It’s about creating opportunities, advocating for equality, and celebrating the incredible contributions of women and girls in every aspect of life.
Supporting and Empowering Women
IWD reminds us of the importance of women supporting women. It’s about lifting each other up, acknowledging talents, and paving the way for the next generation to thrive. Women deserve opportunities to succeed—not only in the workplace but also in education and personal development. And let’s not forget the role men play in this movement. Advocacy from all genders helps highlight the intelligence, creativity, and power of women in every walk of life.
Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the challenges many women face—working twice as hard to go half as far as their male counterparts. I’ve also seen the transformative impact of women empowering each other without feeling the need to adopt male behaviors to succeed. When we advocate for ourselves and each other, we create spaces where talent, creativity, and innovation flourish.

Lessons from My Journey
Reflecting on my career, I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished—becoming the first female executive on a male-dominated executive committee and creating a highly successful women’s mentoring program. But the path wasn’t easy. Growing up in a less-than-affluent environment and entering the corporate world without traditional university credentials taught me resilience. It also fueled my passion for ensuring talented women receive the opportunities they deserve.
One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been seeing the ripple effect of empowerment. The mentoring program I helped build not only supported women but also grew into a broader initiative that inspired change across the organization. Moments like these remind me that while the challenges are real, the rewards of perseverance and advocacy are worth it.
The Transformative Power of Retreats
For those of us navigating the pressures of modern life, retreats offer a sanctuary. They provide a space to reconnect with your authentic self, rediscover joy, and explore life beyond daily responsibilities. Retreats allow us to breathe, reflect, and envision possibilities outside of our comfort zones.
This is why I’m so passionate about our Burnout to Breakthrough retreat. It’s more than just an escape; it’s an opportunity to reset and realign with your true self. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need time to recharge, this retreat is designed to help you find clarity, purpose, and renewed energy.

Building a Better Future
International Women’s Day is a reminder that we all have a role to play in advancing gender equality. Organizations can contribute by prioritizing diversity and inclusion at every level and ensuring opportunities are given based on talent and potential. Individuals can support each other by advocating for change and creating spaces where everyone’s voice is heard.
As we celebrate IWD this year, let’s commit to empowering ourselves and others. Let’s continue to advocate for equality, embrace opportunities for growth, and invest in our well-being. After all, when women succeed, we all succeed.
